You’ve got holes dug, posts ready, and now it’s concrete time. But should you grab a few bags, or mix a fresh batch yourself?

Let’s break it down.

Option 1: Bagged Concrete Products

✔️ Rapid Set – Perfect for quick jobs. Just add water and you’re done in 15 minutes. Ideal for small post jobs or emergency repairs.

✔️ Post Mix – Pre-blended and reliable. Easy to pour and mix right in the hole. Great for fencing or signposts.

✔️ GP Cement + Aggregate – For more control over your mix ratio. You’ll need sand and gravel separately, but it's ideal for larger slabs or structural work.

When to use bagged products:

  • Small to medium jobs
  • When speed and ease matter
  • If you're short on time or tools

Option 2: Mixing On-Site

You’ll need cement, sand, aggregate, water, a mixer, and a good arm.

Pros:

  • Cheaper for large volumes
  • Total control over your mix
  • Great for big slabs or high-strength jobs

Cons:

  • Time-consuming
  • Labour-intensive
  • Easier to get wrong if you don’t know your mix ratios
